Drama Queen

I'm going to compile a list of my favourite Asian dramas. Right now, it will just a simple title list, separated by country. Hopefully, I shall find enough time to provide a summary, photo and maybe review of each one. I may even include the ones I did not like so much. OH! Movies will also be included, definitely!

Those High School Days

It's been more than a year since I have seen anyone with whom I attended high school. It's been a year for many good reasons: distance, annoyance, and idiocy. I'm not alone in the fact I couldn't stand a good portion of the people in my graduating class. The last time I saw any of them was on graduation day, for the next day I was traveling to Virginia to spend the summer before college with my dad. And the commencement of fall classes would not bring me in contact with any of them since I chose an out-of-state school. I'm currently gettin' lucky in Kentucky!

I got the surprise of my life to find out that S.H.E. released a new digital album and that Ariel Lin's debut album was also out! I just downloaded both of them. I watch two videos from each too. I must say that I really enjoyed the video for S.H.E.'s 可爱万岁 (cuteness forever). It was, as the title, indicates, very cute and fun! Lol. Also, in Ariel Lin's video for "Firefly", she got two members of the Korean Super Junior to appear, Siwon and Donghae! Lol. Loved it!

I am just very excited right now! :D

If you could only eat one kind of cuisine—Mexican, Thai, French, Italian, Indian, Chinese, etc.—for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?

Chinese or Indian. I would probably pick Chinese over Indian because I love potstickers though samosas are delicious as well. And though I do love Naan. Oh wait, Chinese cuisine does not really have bread. Haha. Man, I don't know.

How lame is it that I am about to blog about my shopping trip? I don't care though because I was finally able to go to Forever 21. Favourite store! I'm always browsing their online site though I almost never buy anything. I buy more stuff from Old Navy. I really love their jeans. I only bought three items, but I'm very happy about it.

Bah. I'm so terrible at blogging. It's July and the last time I blogged was in April! I'm just as bad with updating stories too. I get so distracted by other things, be it books, dramas or the like. Speaking of dramas I just finished up a Taiwanese one. Probably the most depressing last five episodes I have ever watched in a drama. I'm still sad over it.

Anyway, I've been working and trying to update this Regency story I've been writing. Here's a link to it: Marrying a Duke. I have five chapters and am currently working on the sixth. I keep trying to jump ahead too quickly, but I am slowly training myself not to do so.

On a side note, I am buying tickets for the Jonas Brothers concert in LexVegas tomorrow. BUT, I am going to see the Wonder Girls, a South Korean pop group. They're one of my favourites now. They will be opening on the entire Jonas Brothers tour. Exciting, no? A friend of mine and I are going to go and we'll probably be the only college students. HAHA. They're first US single is "Nobody", and I LOVE the video!

The dubs are a little lame, but I still love the video. Wonder GIRLS!!!

I also am in love with Jay Chou, the taiwanese singer. He's very, very talented. I'll post a video or something very soon.

One of those days where the sky is sunny and your room is dark. For no apparent reason, food tastes like dust and you still want to eat. I just want to sleep and cry, but I can't. I have classes, work, et cetera.
Right now, I'm working, and I can smell the rain and I want to go outside.
I want to sit with James on a bench as the rain falls and just bask in his warmth and light.
But, I can't because of work, because of classes, because my best friend treats me like a stranger, because my other best friend doesn't try to talk to me.
And yet, my roommate is kind and I love her to death.
Three more years.

So, I watch a LOT of Asian dramas. Recently, I've been watching "Boys Before Flowers" (a la Korea).

This weekend, surprisingly, is like I have my own personal drama. Of course, the Asian students in my resident hall were involved. Lol. What with their eavesdropping (oh, my friends were doing it too) and the facebook stalking (as were my friends), I shouldn't be surprised.

They're so ridiculous, but I love them.

Smugness runs in the family.

Apparently the author of the infamous petition regarding legitimate concerns to Breaking Dawn DID get 1000 signatures and sent it to the webmaster, Seth. He, in true Meyer fashion, completely disregarded it and basically insulted her. Personally, I'm getting a little tired of Meyer and Seth acting all holier-than-thou with the criticisms. She refuses to acknowledge them and her cronies protect her. To be a successful, well-liked author, you need to respect ALL of your fans.

If you cannot read that, please tell me.

Actually, it's under the cut.

Okay, so today was my last day at work, praise the lord, I got home and I was going to take a nap and whatever. However, I turned on the TV and flipped it to VH1 because Travel Channel didn't have anything interesting on. Good lord, they were showing a Laguna Beach marathon. It sucked me in unlike Breaking Dawn (I won't go into that).  I'm sure everyone knows what Laguna Beach is. And I won't elaborate, it's a reality show about rich kids. Pretty interesting, in my opinion.

LC and Lo are my favourites on the show. Kristin bothers me as do her friends, especially Jess. Anyway, haha...I don't have much to say about the show anymore.

Twilight is losing its appeal after all this Lexicon mess and the whole Breaking Fail fiasco. I need to move on, I think. But, that doesn't mean I shall stop bitching about what utter crap it is. I'm in it for the lulz now. That srs bsns deal is done with. They're too hardcore for me. I'm a light-hearted maiden. I don't need bitches controlling my thoughts. :D

My dad turned the television on last night to ABC where this show, High School Musical: Get in the Picture, was on. It was towards the end and the last pair was up singing. Let me just say the song haunted me until I got bored enough to find it today. It's called "One Year, Six Months" by Yellowcard. Today I went to ABC and finished watching the rest of the performances. I love music that gives me goosebumps.

I need to catch up on gossip girl.

On a side note, I watched The Bad Mother's Handbook featuring Mr. Robert Pattinson as Daniel Gale. Loved it! Skinny jeans, chucks, messy hair, nervous twitch, glasses and messenger bag all adds up to create my perfect boy. Not to mention the dazzling smile of RPattz. le sigh.

I go to college next Monday! Finally. :D

Do you miss anyone right now? What past experiences with this person, or these persons, make it easy for you to miss them?

Not to sound dramatic or trite, but I'm always missing that particular person. In all honesty, it's stupid and vain. When I feel any nostalgia overcome my senses, I focus on when we were happy together and not just in the relationship sense. The random times we hung out strictly as friends, though I was secretly pining, or the classes we shared together. Focusing on the happier times allows my heart to mend. My blatant attention to his jerk-like qualities only left the wounds fresh. It's easier this way. :D

I actually had a rather good time yesterday evening. Not as awkward as I thought it would be, for Mingyuan and Shane totally tag-teamed my on the teasing.
Fun.
You see, both normally tease me ceaselessly on their own. But, never have I experienced it together. Great, joyous fun. Hahahaha. Hopefully they bonded a bit.

There isn't much more to say. I am spending the night at Ashley's tonight. Whoo.

The lyrics of a few songs I am currently in love with.

That's about it. Love all the songs. Tell great stories. I'm definitely a sucker for narrative songs.
Check out Colin Meloy's Myspace for "Barbara Allen". Excellent ballad.

Would you believe the lack of articles && webpages with information on teenage fashion?
It's rather hilarious. Oh well.
I did try.
But, oh well.

Anyway, I cannot wait for Halloween.
Ashley and I will be channeling the decora fashion.
Soon enough, we shall ransack Goodwill and perhaps Exchange Factor for lovely, bright & cute finds.

Tonight.
I believe I am attending Fabulous Fourth in the Creek with Shane and Mingyuan. Woot.
How exciting. Or should be. I'm hoping to find more people to go.
Since, Mingyuan is none too fond of Shane. And according Ashley that may be since Mingyuan has apparently had a longtime crush on me.  Sort of weird.
Hmph. Hahaha.

I read this book today I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. I was a little wary of it at first because of the whole "vampire" angle. But, it was surprisingly a really good book.
The author decided to not look at vampires from a superstitious/supernatural nature, but from a scientific angle. For instance, the vampyric state was the result of a germ entering into the body through flea/mosquito bite.
All in all, I did rather enjoy it.

What a superficial title.
Oh well!
I have noticed that maybe I don't really dress my age. I certainly don't dress older than my age since people think I'm as young as 12. That has never made much sense to me.
Hmm, I suppose I may dress a little young for my age with the pandas T-shirts, knee socks, and other bright colours and whatnot. Oh, let's not forget the multitude of hair barrettes, ribbon and little girl jewelry.
Hmph.
I have decided to research what how to dress my age.
I have yet to find anything exactly helpful though. Sometimes the internet truly disappoints me.
Hahahaha.
Well, I shall report back later with more news.

Last night.

First off, Transformers was pretty amazing. There were three people from the Disney Channel in it. Vice Principal Hackett from Phil of the Future. Arwin from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and of course Shia Lebouf from Even Stevens!
However, I think my destructiveness is rearing her ugly head. Afterwards, when Shane was driving me home I joked and said, "Well, you're very attractive, but not as attractive as Jun Matsumoto or Christian Bale." I was kidding and he probably knew that, but then he said, "You know what I was going to say."
And I asked, "What?"
So he said, "You're not as attractive as Naomi Watts."
Eh, I know its true, but I don't know it just bothered me. He apologized and told me that I am way hotter than her. Yet, I couldn't really...I don't know....
I was still a bit upset...
Bah humbug.
I need to work on my temperament. Yes, yes.
